And some of you may already know some of the games mentioned in this list.
#10. Nancy Drew: The White Wolf of Icicle Creek
- Release Data: Her Interactive/Sega, 2008
- Genre: Adventure » Point-and-Click
At the end of the day, Nancy Drew: The White Wolf of Icicle Creek is a solid point-and-click adventure game.
And even though it suffers from minor problems, there’s still plenty of fun to be had.
And due to the simplicity of the game, almost anyone can pick up the game and feel what it’s like to be Nancy Drew.
#9. Secret Files: Tunguska
- Release Data: Fusionsphere Systems/Deep Silver, 2010
- Genre: Adventure » General
There are a few standout sequences in the game such as uncovering the mysteries of a moving train and working with two lead characters to solve a puzzle, but for the most part it feels pretty standard.
As it stands, Secret Files: Tunguska is a solid adventure game that does many things right and leaves plenty of room for improvement.
#8. Another Code: R – A Journey into Lost Memories
- Release Data: Cing/Nintendo, 2009
- Genre: Adventure » General
Another Code R serves up a decent adventure, with some well-thought-out puzzles and an interesting mystery storyline.
However, the slow pace, the overwrought dialogue, and some frustrating motion puzzles may turn off some casual gamers, while adventure game fans would do well with this title.
#7. Endless Ocean
- Release Data: Arika/Nintendo, 2008
- Genre: Adventure » 3D » Third-Person
Its pacing is often painfully slow, and you’ll see most of what there is to see in a few hours because the ocean isn’t quite as endless as the title indicates.
Nevertheless, when Endless Ocean is at its best, it’s soothing, beautiful, fun, and unlike any other game out there.
#6. Sam & Max: Season One
- Release Data: Telltale Games/The Adventure Company, 2008
- Genre: Adventure » Point-and-Click
While a few technical issues make this version less recommendable than its PC version, the funny writing makes this an adventure worth playing.
Overall, it’s a welcome revival of a classic title and it’s a welcome addition to the Wii’s library of PC point-n-click ports.
#5. Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars – The Director’s Cut
- Release Data: Revolution Software/Ubisoft, 2009
- Genre: Adventure » Point-and-Click
Those who played the original expecting a revolution will find this disappointing, but if you are a big fan of the series or have yet to experience Shadow of the Templars in any form, you’ll find this is one conspiracy well worth unraveling.
#4. Endless Ocean: Blue World
- Release Data: Arika/Nintendo, 2010
- Genre: Adventure » 3D » Third-Person
Even with all of the refinements that improve and beef up the gameplay in Blue World, it’s still going to be a shock to the system if you’re used to a steady stream of action.
But once you get accustomed to the deliberate and explorative nature of this underwater journey, it yields an extremely enjoyable, almost meditative, experience.
#3. Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 1: Launch of the Screaming Narwhal
- Release Data: Telltale Games, 2009
- Genre: Adventure » 3D » Third-Person

- Genre: Adventure » 3D » Third-Person

Explore the dangerous lands of Jerkbait Islands and become the smartest pirate of all time in this fantastically funny adventure.
#1. Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure
- Release Data: Capcom, 2007
- Genre: Adventure » General
