We already published the list of best Wii games of all time, now it’s time to discover the best Wii 3D adventure games of all time.
With amazing titles available, the Wii definitely has a great library of 3D adventure games.
So, if you’re a fan of both the Wii and 3D adventure games, there’s a chance you’ll like this list.
And some of you may already know some of the games mentioned in this list.
#10. Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law
- Release Data: High Voltage Software/Capcom, 2008
- Genre: Adventure » 3D » First-Person
Harvey Birdman is witty and entertaining but ultimately too short and shallow.
Presenting a basic gameplay of adventure and puzzle elements as well as its own variety of an interactive court trial, it never explores any area of gameplay enough to be immersive.
Nevertheless, it’s a fun enough experience, but don’t expect the experience to last long.
#9. Back to the Future: The Game
- Release Data: Iron Galaxy Studios/Telltale Games, 2011
- Genre: Adventure » 3D » Third-Person
Back to the Future: The Game successfully translates what made the movie great into a fun, challenging, imaginative and funny adventure game.
But this is a mediocre port, flawed with frequent load times and small presentational glitches.
It’s still worth playing through and very entertaining, but its flaws keep it from shining as brightly as it should.
#8. The Dog Island
- Release Data: Yuke’s, 2008
- Genre: Adventure » 3D » Third-Person
The Dog Island is a seriously odd title, but its style, attention to detail, and overall offering as a kid-friendly, casual adventure/RPG makes it a solid choice for children.
The game’s initial appeal is the same as its lasting drive, but it’s the overall size and robust feel of the game that actually makes it worth a second look.
#7. Endless Ocean
- Release Data: Arika/Nintendo, 2008
- Genre: Adventure » 3D » Third-Person
Its pacing is often painfully slow, and you’ll see most of what there is to see in a few hours because the ocean isn’t quite as endless as the title indicates.
Nevertheless, when Endless Ocean is at its best, it’s soothing, beautiful, fun, and unlike any other game out there.
#6. Endless Ocean: Blue World
- Release Data: Arika/Nintendo, 2010
- Genre: Adventure » 3D » Third-Person
Even with all of the refinements that improve and beef up the gameplay in Blue World, it’s still going to be a shock to the system if you’re used to a steady stream of action.
But once you get accustomed to the deliberate and explorative nature of this underwater journey, it yields an extremely enjoyable, almost meditative, experience.
#5. Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 1: Launch of the Screaming Narwhal
- Release Data: Telltale Games, 2009
- Genre: Adventure » 3D » Third-Person
If you like wacky humor, solving puzzles, and going on a pirate adventure, then Tales of Monkey Island is perfect for you.
The first episode centers around the accidental release of a virus known as voodoo pox, and it’s up to you to solve the case.
#4. Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 2: The Siege of Spinner Cay
- Release Data: Telltale Games, 2009
- Genre: Adventure » 3D » Third-Person
The second episode in the Tales of Monkey Island series brings more head-scratching puzzles and witty character interactions.
Once again, you’ll explore a lush tropical setting, searching for clues and talking to nearby witnesses.
Explore the dangerous lands of Jerkbait Islands and become the smartest pirate of all time in this fantastically funny adventure.
#3. Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 5: Rise of the Pirate God
- Release Data: Telltale Games, 2010
- Genre: Adventure » 3D » Third-Person
Although the ending isn’t quite as epic as it was hyped up to be, and the puzzles are still nothing special, this is still a very enjoyable conclusion to the Tales of Monkey Island story, and it won’t disappoint anyone who’s played through the rest of it.
#2. Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 4: The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood
- Release Data: Telltale Games, 2009
- Genre: Adventure » 3D » Third-Person
This episode is an attractive addition to the series, but the strength of it comes more from the way it advances the story and offers up some interesting puzzles.
Not everyone will like the unexpected twists of the story, but the puzzles are challenging without being frustrating, which should help you see this one through to a satisfying conclusion.
#1. Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 3: Lair of the Leviathan
- Release Data: Telltale Games, 2009
- Genre: Adventure » 3D » Third-Person
Gameplay wise, chapter 3 of Tales of Monkey Island is obviously not much different from the previous games.
There are some fun puzzles included, but they’re still nothing more than figuring out what object to use with what other object.
Overall, this episode is every bit as good as the previous entries, if not better thanks to a few improvements.
