- Release Data: EA Canada/Electronic Arts, 2006
- Genre: Sports » Team » Soccer » Sim

In the end, World Tour Soccer has the potential to be enjoyed by everyone.
#22. FIFA Soccer 06
- Release Data: EA Sports/Electronic Arts, 2005
- Genre: Sports » Team » Soccer » Sim
The PSP version of FIFA 06, is a significant improvement over its predecessor, which is no small achievement given that the two games’ release dates aren’t even six months apart.
The lack of a career mode is a little disappointing, but it still represents great value, particularly if you’re in a position to take advantage of its various multiplayer options.
#21. NBA Street Showdown
- Release Data: EA Canada/EA Sports Big, 2005
- Genre: Sports » Team » Basketball » Arcade
Its fast-paced gameplay, abundance of content, and slick presentation make NBA Street Showdown a great choice if you’re looking for a portable basketball game.
And if you can adjust to the timing, you’ll probably end up liking this game a lot.
#20. NCAA Football 07
- Release Data: EA Sports, 2006
- Genre: Sports » Team » Football » Sim
NCAA Football 07 for the PSP isn’t the best college football game you’ll play but it has enough pigskin action to keep fans of the sports in the game for a long while.
The unfortunate choice to leave out mini-games and the great Campus Legend mode is upsetting but what we have here is a football game that doesn’t disappoint.
#19. Madden NFL 06
- Release Data: EA Tiburon/EA Sports, 2005
- Genre: Sports » Team » Football » Sim
As the first simulation football game on the PSP, Madden 06 gets more than enough right to recommend.

Overall, there’s more than enough quality content in this package to make this game worthwhile for any PSP-owning football fan.
#18. NFL Street 2 Unleashed
- Release Data: EA Tiburon/EA Sports Big, 2005

If you fall into either of these categories, the game is certainly worth a look.
#17. FIFA Soccer
- Release Data: EA Canada/Electronic Arts, 2005
- Genre: Sports » Team » Soccer » Sim
When all is said and done, FIFA Soccer for the PSP is not only a great portable sports game, but a great sports game in its own right.

#16. MLB 11: The Show
- Release Data: SCEA San Diego Studios/SCEA, 2011
- Genre: Sports » Team » Baseball » Sim
Taken completely on its own, MLB 11: The Show plays an outstanding game of baseball and comes highly recommended.

#15. NBA 08
- Release Data: SCEA, 2007
- Genre: Sports » Team » Basketball » Sim
The addition of four amusing mini-games are a lot of fun, and the additional depth that was added to Conquest mode makes the feature more engaging than ever before.

Overall, NBA 08 is a nice follow up to the previous title.
#14. Football Manager Handheld
- Release Data: Sports Interactive/Sega Europe, 2006
- Genre: Sports » Team » Soccer » Management
Football Manager Handheld doesn’t come close to its PC version, but given how long it takes to play that game properly, that’s really not a bad thing.
If you’re a Football Manager veteran, you’ll find plenty that’s familiar here, and if you’re a newcomer to the series, this light version is a great place to start.
#13. MLB 09: The Show
- Release Data: SCEA San Diego Studios/SCEA, 2009
- Genre: Sports » Team » Baseball » Sim
In this game, you’ll get more sense of surprise and natural flow of gameplay thanks to the surprise and excitement that rises in each man’s voice as they provide commentary.
It’s a great baseball game on PSP, but not that much different from previous titles of the series on PSP.

All things considered, NBA Live 06 is one of the most fun sports titles released for the PSP.
#9. MLB 10: The Show
- Release Data: SCEA, 2010
- Genre: Sports » Team » Baseball » Sim
The gameplay of MLB 10: The Show is as pure as it gets.

#8. FIFA 07 Soccer
- Release Data: EA Sports, 2006
- Genre: Sports » Team » Soccer » Sim
One thing that is surely not lacking in this game, when compared to rival games, is license.

#7. Pro Evolution Soccer 2008
- Release Data: Konami, 2008
- Genre: Sports » Team » Soccer » Sim
The best thing about this game is that it doesn’t give up any of the cores found in the console version.

Overall it’s a great soccer game and mimics the console version pretty well.
#6. Madden NFL 07
- Release Data: EA Tiburon/EA Sports, 2006
- Genre: Sports » Team » Football » Sim
American football games on handheld consoles have never looked this good.

Overall a great improvement over the predecessor with the content a lot closer to the console version.
#4. MLB
- Release Data: 989 Sports/SCEA, 2005
- Genre: Sports » Team » Baseball » Sim
The developer certainly trimmed away a lot of the fat to cram the PS2 version onto the PSP but left the meat intact.
MLB still has most of the gorgeous graphics, great gameplay and commentary the PS2 has.
All in all, this game is a solid entry of MLB into PSP despite the lack of certain features.
#3. MLB 08: The Show
- Release Data: SCEA San Diego Studios/SCEA, 2008
- Genre: Sports » Team » Baseball » Sim
The gameplay is very similar to the previous entry, with few extra features added in various modes.

#2. MLB 07: The Show
- Release Data: SCEA San Diego Studios/SCEA, 2007
- Genre: Sports » Team » Baseball » Sim
MLB 07‘s pitching mechanic has gotten some improvement, but the basics are mostly unchanged and still great.
In the end, even though it doesn’t have a flashy presentation and is still missing the PS2’s excellent franchise mode, MLB 07: The Show is one of the better sports games on the PSP.
#1. MLB 06: The Show
- Release Data: SCEA San Diego Studios/SCEA, 2006
- Genre: Sports » Team » Baseball » Sim
The crisp graphics and sublime audio does a great job of conveying the sights and sounds of the ballpark while also somewhat duplicating the look and feel of a television broadcast.
