When it comes to gaming in the living room, you really can’t go wrong with a rocker chair.
They’re compact, they’re easily movable (most of the time) and they give you a great sitting experience.
Also, they rock (literally) which is always tons of fun!
So, if you’re in the market for a console or living room gaming chair, read on ahead to my list of some great rocker gaming chairs!
Contents
1. X Rocker 51259 Pro H3 4.1 Audio Gaming Chair – The Most Popular Rocker Gaming Chair
We’re going to start off the list with the bang by covering probably one of the best rocker chairs out there, the X Rocker Pro H3 4.1.
To start off with, it comes with some great audio tech built right into the chair. 4.1 surround, their patented AFM technology (basically sound-based rumble feature), and an easy-to-use side-access panel with bass, volume and rumble control as well as RCA output to hook up your gear.
There’s also the headphone output/input if you’d rather go that route.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with wireless like some of the other chairs, but if you’re spending this kind of money, you can easily find a workaround.
Of course, audio quality is not the only thing you get when you spend this kind of money.
The chair is made of a steel frame, filled with thick padding and covered with a high-quality PU leather, all of which give you hiney a great sitting experience.
It also has a padded headrest and seat and is also somewhat ergonomic. You also get some thick gun-stock armrests without some of the wobbles you’d see in cheaper chairs.
Best of all, the chair can easily be folded in half and stored away if you aren’t always in need of having it around!

While a little bit pricey, and slightly outdated inputs/outputs, this is still a beast of a chair. If you can afford it, I would say go for it!
On a side note, if you want a workaround for the RCA outputs, you can get an RCA to HDMI converter and use that, and if you want a wireless option, you can see if you can find a wireless HDMI device that you can plug the HDMI cable into.
It’s a bit of work, but well worth the effort…although you’ll still need to run a cable, so it’s not truly wireless.
2. Ace Bayou X Rocker 5143601 II
While admittedly a slight downgrade from the previous chair in terms of plushness, it’s still a pretty good chair to go for if you can’t afford the $200 price tag of the Pro H3.
To start off with, you’ll be happy to know that you still do get speakers, although not as many as the Pro H3.
On the plus side, the speakers on this chair are front-facing, so you’ll arguably get slightly better sound quality, since the sound is coming directly at you, rather than out of either side of the chair.
There’s also the side access panel for quick changes to volume and bass.
One big bonus of this chair over the previous one is that it actually has wireless, so you don’t need to worry too much about toying around with cables.
It also has RCA inputs if you’d prefer to go that route (which you still might for eighth gen consoles). Of course, the big plus here is that you can connect the chair to your phone via Bluetooth, and absolutely just relax and listen to music or even watch a movie!
In terms of padding, it’s still reasonably thick, plus it comes with a padded headrest, which is always appreciated.
Unfortunately, you don’t get gunstock armrests, but the ones that do come with the chair are reasonable good.
You can also similarly fold the chair down for easy storage.

So, all in all, this is a great chair, but it does sometimes suffer from build quality. While the cases are rare, this is something you have to consider.
Also, you do still have to play around with cables if you want to connect it to modern consoles, so that’s a bit of a hassle.
Otherwise, this is a reasonably good chair, and well worth the consideration.
3. Cohesion XP 2.1 Gaming Chair with Audio
If all the chairs in this list are a bit too fancy (and a bit too far out of your budget), here’s a great option if you still want to have some bells and whistles.
As you can tell from the picture, the chairs come without the pedestal or any armrests, or plush padding that you might expect from a more expensive product.
Fortunately, though, you do have a 2.1 surround sound speaker set-up, and the plus is the 2 main speakers are somewhat forward facing.
Even though you might not get the best audio quality, it’s still not bad, especially because of that forward-facing speaker thing!
In terms of connectivity, it’s bare bones. Don’t expect wireless or anything fancy here. You do get headphone input/output jacks, and with some finicky-ing, you could probably get most stuff to work with it.
Of course, you only get the one volume knob and no fancy rumble tech or anything like that.
Oh, and it folds for easy storage, which is a big plus!

Well, this chair might not be fancy, but it’s cheap, at least compared to everything else on the list.
My suggestion? If you can save an extra bit of money, you’re better off going with one of the nicer chairs. Your wallet (and body) will be thanking you later!
4. X Rocker 5109201 Extreme III 2.0 Gaming Rocker Chair
If you’re planning to be a super villain, but also want to game while you’re at it, this chair will achieve both with style!
Now as you can tell, this is a pretty sweet and interesting looking chair. Like other x-rockers, it’s built with a sturdy steel frame and reasonably thick padding.
Where it shines though is the PU leather and fabric mesh design that gives it that awesome look.
Oh, and you also get a padded headrest for when you need to lie back and do your plotting!
Aside from that though, it’s pretty typical in terms of what you can expect from the x-rocker chairs.
For starters, there’s the fully functioning audio system. It does have wireless, which is great, and it still has the RCA/headphone jacks if you want to go the old school route.
You also get the fancy AFM rumble feature that you might not find on some other chairs on this list.
Armrests are a step up, being both padded and flip-up-able, which is great. It also can fold in half for easy storage, although with the pedestal, I’m not sure how useful that will be.

Honestly, this is a great chair to go for based on look alone, but it also comes with all the bells and whistles you’d expect from a high-end model like the Pro H3.
As such, it’s certainly a great pick, especially if you like the aesthetics.
5. Crew Furniture 512080 Classic Rocker
Ok, so what if you want a chair that just doesn’t have any of the frills and is just all chair? Well, then this is the option for you!
While you shouldn’t expect any speakers or anything that fancy, you can expect a reasonably good chair. This one, in particular, is made out of a sturdy metal frame, with reasonably thick padding, although it could be slightly thicker.
Wrapped around the metal and padding is a PU leather and fabric mesh mix, which should give you a great sitting experience.
Also, it’s pretty light, so it’s easy to move around. That’s good because it doesn’t actually fold in the middle like some of the other chairs on this list.
So you should certainly make sure you have enough room for it!

Honestly, there isn’t much to say about this other than it’s a solid chair, and probably better for kids/teens than adults.
It’s definitely not fancy, but it is on the cheaper side, which certainly gives it good bang for your buck.
If you’re looking for something simple, this is a great choice!
6. X Rocker 5172601 Surge Bluetooth 2.1 Sound Gaming Chair
If you like what you see so far, but you’re the kind of person who just really hates armrests, this is the perfect chair for you!
While you do lose the armrests in this chair, you actually get all the features (except 4.1 surround) that you’d expect on the fancier chairs.
For one, you still get 2.1 surround sound, although they’re outward facing speakers, which is kind of annoying.
Of course, you also still get Bluetooth, which is excellent for making life so much easier.
That being said, if you want to play around with cabling, this chair has the RCA/headphone input and output that the other chairs have.
So you know, if you want to connect to your consoles or TV, you can still do that. Unfortunately, though, you lose out on the AFM rumble tech, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
Aside from that, you’ll be glad to know that this chair has some thick padding, plus an all PU leather covering (no mesh this time).
There’s also a cooling vent in the middle, which you don’t always see with the higher end models, and is very reminiscent of racer chairs.
Oh, and I’d like to point out that the red trim is a nice touch!
You’ll also be glad to know that the chair folds in half for easier storage, which, given the size of these chairs and where they’re likely to go, is absolutely great.

This is actually a great mid-range option if you want to balance your budget against the features you’re going to get.
It’s an aesthetically pleasing chair for sure, and it’s a great choice if you like racer style chairs. Granted, you give up the rumble tech and the armrests, but that’s not the end of the world.
7. X Rocker 5172801 Ace Bayou Vibe Sound Chair with Arms
Another great alternative to some of the chairs on this list, it’s a great option if you want to go for something a little more stylish.
Like you’ve come to expect with the previous chair, this has a bunch of features that’s will make life easier.
For example, you retain the 2.1 surround sound speaker setup, as well as the Bluetooth connectivity for your smart devices.
Of course, the speakers aren’t front facing and might have lower quality sound because of that.
You’ll also notice that the chair is very much built like a racer, with the stripe down the middle and the two vents up top.
Unfortunately, there aren’t any fins here, so you’ll just have to be happy with what is there!
I should probably also point out that, as you can see, you still get the side access panel with RCA and headphone jack inputs/outputs.
While it might be more difficult to connect with modern consoles, it should be fine for older ones, as well as smart devices.
For convenience, the chair does indeed fold, although the armrests are fixed, which is a shame.

All in all, this is a pretty great chair, and a good alternative to the Pro H3 if you want something a bit cheaper and more modern/sleek looking.
8. X Rocker 5129101 Pedestal Video Gaming Chair 2.1
While not as sleek and fancy looking as the previous chair, this is a great option if you prefer a slightly more toned down version.
In terms of features, you’re getting pretty much the same as the previous chair. For example, you retain the fancy AFM rumble features and the 2.1 speakers.
You still also have the RCA/headphone inputs to connect to your devices. Thankfully you also keep the wireless aspect of it, so no compromises there.
You also get the same armrests as the 5172801.
The main difference is the slightly extra padding this chair has, plus the much larger red mesh area as compared to the previous chair.
The pedestal is also slightly different, and even though it looks a bit flimsy, don’t worry, it’s completely sturdy!

- Weight capacity: 250 lb/113 kg
There’s very little difference between this chair and the 4th chair, so if you like the features the only question is which style do you prefer?
9. X Rocker 5127301 II SE
More of a step to the side, rather than a step-down or up in comparison to the previous chair, this another option with a different look.
In terms of what you lose out, it’s mainly the lack of RCA inputs for you to connect to your devices. It does still have wireless, and it has headphone jacks, so there’s still plenty of connectivity for you!
Otherwise, the chair is mostly the same.
You have the same pivot armrests, some reasonably good padding, and of course the PU leather that it’s wrapped in.
There’s still also the two front-facing speakers, plus the sub-woofer in the back, so you aren’t losing out on any sound quality.
It’s also still perfectly foldable, so it’s easy to store and get out of the way.

In the most basic terms, this is just a variation of the previous chair and it still has some of the same issues, including build quality.
Personally, I would suggest going with the 5143601 II. It’s got slightly better features for roughly the same price, and a bit better build quality.
10. ECR4Kids SoftZone Floor Rocker
If you’re looking for a similar chair to the Crew Furniture one, but more targeted to kids, this is the chair you’re looking for.
While it doesn’t have many of the features you’d expect for a gaming chair, this is actually a great multi-purpose chair, especially in terms of their health.
Obviously, you want to avoid a chair that’s going to be giving them back problems.
So what you see is pretty much what you get. It has a thick comfortable foam padding, with a PU leather covering.
Thankfully, it’s certified for minimal chemical emissions, so it’s safe for kids aged 3 and upwards. It’s also easy to maintain, which is a must if we’re talking about kids and tweens (they can be messy!)
Unfortunately, one big downside is that it doesn’t fold for easy storage, although it’s small enough that it shouldn’t cause too many issues.

If you have kids and you’re looking for a proper chair for them to sit that won’t cause them issues going into the future, this is a great option.
It’s also easy to maintain, which is a big plus.
Of course, it would be preferable if the chair could fold for easy storage, but it is what it is.
Conclusion
Well, there you have it, folks! A list of some great rocker chairs for yourself, and your kids if you have any.
As always, I don’t want to influence any of your decisions, but here are some of my quick picks:
Entry Level: There are two rockers that really stick out at this level, and they are the Cohesion XP 2.1 and the Crew furniture ones. Which one you go for is ultimately going to be up to you, since there’s a slight difference in price and features. Personally, I’d probably go with the Cohesion XP 2.1
That being said, with this list, I’d probably try and save a bit and go for either a mid-tier or high-tier chair.
Mid Level: This category is a bit more difficult since there are just so many options!
While the X-Rocker Extreme III looks sweet, and the X Rocker 5129101 Pedestal Video Gaming Chair is really well padded, I think I’d probably go for the Ace Bayou X Rocker 5143601 II. Its good quality, fancy looking, great features, and just an all-around great chair.
Of course, you could also go for the X Rocker 5127301 Ii Se Black. It has a nicer PU leather, but it is missing on a few features here and there.
High Level: This level is pretty easy, the choice has to be the X Rocker 51259 Pro H3 4.1 Audio Gaming Chair. It’s got all the features, including 4.1 surround, which you don’t see on many (or any) other chairs of this type. It’s got plush PU leather, great padding, comfortable armrest…basically, it’s the full Monty.
Of course, the one downside is that it’s pretty pricey, but honestly, it’s absolutely worth it!
Special Mention: I mostly want to point out the ECR4Kids SoftZone Floor Rocker here, because it’s the one chair on this list which is specifically targeted to kids.
Sure, some of the other chairs are smaller and great for tweens and teens, but this is the only one made for ages starting at 3. It is a bit pricey for what you get, but still, I think it’s a good option.
Anyway, that’s it from me! Good luck and happy shopping!
Things to Consider Before Buying a Rocker Gaming Chair
Probably one of the first things you want to consider before buying a rocker is to make sure that you’re not putting it on a surface that is going to be scratch. Hardwood flooring or anything of that nature tends to be sensitive to hard plastic, so might want to put a rug under. That being said, there are rocker chairs that don’t have this problem, so keep an eye out if it’s a consideration.
Costs for rocker chairs can range wildly from medium to super high, so this is a good time to think about the kind of features you want, and which features you’re OK without. For example, do you really need those speakers? Or maybe you prefer having armrests? How about a pedestal, do you want it to be on one of those? Either way, try and keep these things in mind, otherwise, you’re going to have a bad time!
Since we are talking about living room gaming chairs, you should make sure you actually have the room to fit a rocker chair. Some of these can be pretty big, so look up the dimensions and compare them against the space available. Nothing worse than spending a bunch of money, only to find out you can’t fit it anywhere in your living room.
As always, make sure that the manufacturer is legitimate and has good customer support. This also extends to their build quality to specific chairs, since some chairs from the same manufacturer can have a better build than others. Honestly, it’s terrible spending $100-$200 only to receive a substandard product and service.
