Buying a gaming chair doesn’t necessarily mean breaking the bank.
There are lots of good chairs out there at reasonable prices that most people can afford.
Sure, they aren’t super fancy, but they’re good enough to do the job.
If you read my previous article on best gaming chairs under $200, and you liked the chairs but wanted to get something a bit cheaper, then this is the article for you!

1. Homall Racing Gaming Chair with Lumbar Support – The Most Popular Gaming Chair Under $100
To start off with, we have a pretty good gaming chair from a well-known company.
The chair is made out of a 1.4mm steel frame for great support and stability. Surrounding that is high-density memory foam, which is a slightly harder foam that tends to keep its shape more.
All that is covered with skin-friendly PU leather, so you definitely get the nice material here.
The recline function is pretty great, going all the way down to 180 degrees, so you can legitimately use it to lie down and take a nap!
It comes with a pair of pillows; one for the headrest and one for lumbar support. There’s also a couple of cooling vents and fins that most gaming chairs come with, so that’s good.
Unfortunately, the armrests are not adjustable, which can be a pain if you’re the type of person who needs their chair set-up just right.

Aside from the lack of adjustability on the armrests, this is actually a really great chair. On top of that, this is a known manufacturer, so you’re going to get good customer support if you need it (which you hopefully won’t!).
2. Devoko Ergonomic Racing Style Gaming Chair
If you like the previous chair but want to save a bit in the budget department, this Devoko chair is essentially the same thing with all the same features at a cheaper price.
Like the Homall, It has a hard foam seat with a PU leather cover. The back reclines to 180 degrees, so you can get that all-important mid-game nap.
Similarly, you get two pillows; one for the headrest and one for lumbar support.
And just like the Homall the armrests are not adjustable and are especially a problem if you’re pretty tall.
So what’s the downside? Well, it’s not from a well-known manufacturer, so build quality might be an issue.
That being said, the manufacturer does have a 6-month guarantee with a full replacement for quality issues, so there is that!

- Weight capacity: 300 lb/136 kg
Conclusion:
This isn’t actually a bad chair, and most customer reviews reflect that. Yes, it’s from a lesser known manufacturer, but you are essentially getting a cheap version of a more expensive chair.
Whether you want to roll the dice though is completely up to you.
3. X Rocker 2.1 Sound V Rocker
If you’ve read any of my other reviews, you’ll be quite familiar with this chair. Being one of the better rocker chairs on the market, this is a perfect solution for the living room, which we haven’t really looked at so far.
The main standout feature that you see on this rocker, which you don’t see in other chairs, are the two front-facing, built-in speakers in the headrest.
That means that you can hook this chair up with your TV or favorite console, and have some great audio coming to you directly from the chair.
It also has a bass speaker in the back, so you’re going to get some back-thumping sound!
In terms of control and connectivity, this Ace Bayou Rocker has an easy to reach access panel on the side with audio and bass controls.
The panel also has audio input/output jacks (Headphone jacks), so you can hook up most things, although you might need an adapter for more modern systems.
Of course, if you don’t want to faff about with cables, you could always just use the included wireless transmitter, hook it up to your TV/Console and just connect wirelessly.
Just a word of warning though, you still need a power cable for the chair, so it’s not truly wireless in that sense.
The seat itself has foam padding and it’s covered in a mix fabric mesh and PU leather. It also folds in half, so it’s actually really great if you don’t have a lot of space.
You can pack it up and store it at any time!
Price Range: Under $100
Perfect For: Adults, Kids
Features:
- Chair type: Rocker
- Reclines: No
- Armrest: No
- Footrest: No
- Ergonomic: No
- High back: No
- Bluetooth: No
- Speakers: Yes
- Vibration: No
- Sits on the floor: Yes

- Suitable for racing games: No
- Suitable for flight simulator: No
- Suitable for eSports: No
- Suitable for living room: Yes
- Cup holder: No
- Massage: No
- Weight capacity: 250 lb/113 kg
Conclusion:
This is an overall great chair but it does have some issues in the build quality and customer support departments.
As far as I can tell, Ace Bayou chairs are made in China with very little quality control, so you’re just as likely to receive a chair with no panel, as you are to receive one that’s completely perfect.
Unfortunately, you might have to roll the dice on this chair as well.
4. BestMassage Gaming Chair with Lumbar Support
There isn’t much to say about this chair since it’s your basic generic racer style gaming chair.
To start off with, the chair has a rocker feature, which is always nice but doesn’t actually tilt or recline back at all, which isn’t that nice.
Much like other chairs of this type, it comes with two pillows for the headrest and lumbar support. The seat itself is made of thin padding which isn’t super great, but it’s good enough for the job.
The outer material is PU leather of an…OK quality.
The armrest change depending on which model you get. The majority of the models come with non-adjustable padded armrests, while one model comes with padded armrests that can swing up and out of the way.
As per usual, there are the cooling vents and the fins for some added support.
Price Range: Under $100
Perfect For: Adults, Kids
Features:
- Chair type: Racer
- Reclines: No
- Armrest: Yes
- Footrest: No
- Ergonomic: Yes
- High back: No
- Bluetooth: No
- Speakers: No
- Vibration: No
- Sits on the floor: No
- Monitor mount: No
- Keyboard tray: No
- Suitable for gaming desk: Yes
- Suitable for racing games: No
- Suitable for flight simulator: No
- Suitable for eSports: No
- Suitable for living room: No
- Cup holder: No
- Massage: No
- Weight capacity: 250 lb/113 kg
Conclusion:
So there is one major problem with this chair, and that’s the build quality. Screws tend to come loose, the padding is too thin, and the chair squeaks after prolonged use.
Basically, this means you should be expecting to change the chair at the 1-year mark. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, especially if you just need a cheap chair right now and can change it in a year or so.
Still, if you can afford it, I’d suggest going for a slightly pricier chair.
5. BestOffice Gaming Chair with Headrest & Footrest
Another one of non-brand name chairs that offer similar features, even including a footrest!
While nothing particularly fancy, it does have some nice things you won’t find in other chairs at this price point.
For one, the back does actually recline back up to 155 degrees, and while that isn’t the full 180, it’s still pretty excellent.
Strangely though, it doesn’t have a rocker function, so you’ll definitely be missing out in that regard.
In terms of comfort, the chair is made out of steel frame with somewhat thick foam padding. It’s also covered in PU leather, so you’re going to get a reasonably good comfort level, even for a chair at this price point.
Luckily, you also get two pillows one for the headrest and one for lumbar support, which you don’t always get in chairs this cheap.
Unfortunately, the armrests aren’t adjustable at all, which can be a rather big pain, but it is something you give up when you go for lower budget chairs.
Price Range: Under $100
Perfect For: Adults, Kids

- Chair type: Racer
- Reclines: Yes
- Armrest: Yes
- Footrest: Yes
- Ergonomic: Yes
- High back: Yes
- Bluetooth: No
- Speakers: No
- Vibration: No

- Suitable for flight simulator: No
- Suitable for eSports: Yes
- Suitable for living room: No
- Cup holder: No
- Massage: No
- Weight capacity: 250 lb/113 kg
Conclusion:
Unfortunately, the common problems with chairs at this price are also featured in this one, and that’s mainly the build quality.
Some people have opened their chairs up to find rusted frames and threads tied across the frame for extra support.
So, just like the previous chair, expect to replace this one at roughly the 1-year mark.
Well, there you go ladies and gentlemen, a list of some good gaming chairs in the under $100 price range.
As usual, I don’t want to color anybody’s opinion, but here’s my list of quick picks. Keep in mind that since we’re talking a cheaper price range, the picks will mostly be based on build quality.
Entry Level: This level has two main options: The X Rocker 2.1 Sound V Rocker if you’re looking for a rocker style chair, and the Devoko Ergonomic Racing Style Gaming Chair.
While they aren’t going to rock any worlds or stop any traffic, they are solid chairs with reasonably good build quality.
Mid Level: This one is a bit harder, but I think my pick would be the BestOffice Gaming Chair with Headrest & Footrest. It has good build quality, it has adjustable footrests and it looks good. Yes, the cushioning could be better, but it’s not the end of the world, especially considering what you’re paying for it.
High Level: This one is easy, it has to be the Homall Gaming Chair. It’s a well-known manufacturer so build quality is going to be good, as will the customer support. You get a ton of features that you find on more expensive chairs, although you don’t get adjustable (or that comfortable) armrests, which is a shame.
Nonetheless, the Homall is the way to go if you’re looking for the best in the category!
