If you’re looking for desktop gaming, then you’ll really want to get a racer type chair.
While you could go with other options, racer gaming chairs are more suited for the long hours you’ll spend sitting at the PC.
Better padding, better support, and better cooling are just a few things you’ll be getting in the mix.
So, without further ‘ado, let’s check it out!

1. GTRACING Racer Gaming Chair – The Most Popular Racer Gaming Chair
Our first entry is from a well-known manufacturer, and if you’re looking for a good, relatively cheap chair, then this I a pretty good option.
To start off with, it’s a reasonably good sized chair if you’re a bit bigger than average. The seat width is 19.68” which isn’t massive, but it’s still pretty good.
Similarly, the frame is made out of metal, so it’s sturdy and can handle quite a bit of weight. Covering that is a set of thick padding which should last you a very long time before it starts pancaking.
Then, of course, you have your standard PU leather out shell, which is pretty good quality considering the price.
In terms of features, the armrests are height adjustable, the chair has a recline angle of up to 170 degrees (which isn’t the maximum, but still good) and a rocker function, which is always welcome.
The chair has a bucket seat, with lots of fins for added support. As per usual, it also comes with a lumbar pillow and a headrest pillow.

All in all, it’s a really well-rounded chair. There are very few complaints about the chair, which isn’t surprising when you consider that it comes from GTRacing.
Sure, there are one or two issues, like complaints about the padding, but all in all, it’s great value for what you’re paying.
That being said, if you can save another $50-$60, you can probably get something a bit better that will last longer (and that you will enjoy more!).
2. Devoko Ergonomic Gaming Chair Racing Style
If you’re looking for something slightly cheaper (under the $100 range), this is a reasonably good choice.
Like the previous chair, it has a pretty good seat size, so it should fit most people who have a larger build than average.
Backing that up is a strong metal frame for added support, thick padding and some OK PU leather covering it all.
Surprisingly, it can recline all the way down to 180 degrees, so you could easily take a nap if you wanted to!
Unfortunately, though, the armrests are not adjustable, which is a shame but to be expected when you’re dealing with this price point.
Of course, it does have a rocker function, so maybe that helps make up for it.
You’ll also find the standard features on this rocking chair such as the support fins, the vents for cooling and the two pillows for lumbar and head support.

I mean listen, this isn’t a fancy chair by any means, but it is a solidly built gaming chair and what you get for the price is surprisingly good.
There have been very few complaints about this chair, and most of the time it’s resolved by customer support.
You really do get the full package if you decide to go for this chair.
3. BestMassage Office Desk Gaming Chair
This chair comes in at the lowest end of the scale and is great if you’re looking to pay the least amount of money while still having a gaming chair.
Now, the two big things you’ll be giving up at this price point is the adjustability of the armrests and the backrest.
Namely, there is none. Well, that’s not completely true, you can actually flip the armrests up and out of the way if you want to, but that’s about it.
Otherwise, it’s your standard fare for a gaming chair.
You have a reasonable amount of padding to rely on, but not much. There are still fins but they’re very much reduced to the point of being barely visible.
You also don’t get any vents for some extra cooling.
Of course, you do get a headrest pillow, which is nice. The lumbar support, on the other hand, isn’t free moving but built into the chair, so if you’re the kind of person who hates that sort of thing, you might want to stay away!

Well, there isn’t much to say about this chair beside that it’s cheap and probably won’t last longer than a year.
That being said, it is good for what you’re paying, and a great stopgap until you get a nicer chair.
Of course, if you can save up another $50, there are a lot better options out there.
4. Furmax High Back Racing Chair
One of the higher end chairs on the list, this is a great option if you’re looking for a chair with a footrest and a high back.
The main standout feature of this chair is the seat padding which is reasonably thick and does tend to hold its shape, even after a long period of use.
It also comes with two, slightly small, pillows for both your head and lumbar support. Of course, no gaming chair is complete without some pronounced wings for support and the vents for cooling.
You’ll also be happy to know that the chair reclines all the way back to 180 degrees, so you can take a nap if you’re feeling tired or exhausted.
It also has a rocker function, which is always a plus. An even bigger plus is the fact that the armrests are adjustable up/down, a surely lacking feature in a lot of gaming chairs.
Of course, I don’t want to forget the footrest, which is fully extendable and absolutely brilliant.

If there weren’t some really cool chairs further down on this list, I’d tell you to look no further. This is a great chair, with all the features you could want, plus it’s built well.
Customer support is great, and you do get a money back guarantee for 30 days, and replacement parts that are damaged or missing for up to 6 months.
So yeah, definitely put this chair on your list of possible buys.
5. Homall High-Back Racing Chair
Similar to the previous chair, this one is a great choice if you’re looking for a mid-range gaming chair. It’s also a great alternative if you prefer a different aesthetic than the Furmax chair.
Like the previous chair, you’ll find a lot of things you’d expect.
To start off with the chair is made from a durable metal frame, as most gaming chairs are. Covering that is reasonably good padding, although probably not as good as the Furmax’s.
Then you have some high-quality PU leather that should be a dream to sit on!
Thankfully, you do get adjustable armrests that can go up and down. The chair also reclines all the way back to 180 degrees, something I generally tend to look for in a gaming chair.
It also has that all-important recline function that pretty much everybody loves at this point.
You will notice that the fins are a bit more pronounced in this chair, so depending on your size, it will ‘hug’ you much more.
I’ll also mention that this chair has a footrest with aluminum rails, so it’s sturdy, safe and comfortable (and also great for napping!).
As per usual, you also get two pillows, one for lumbar support and one for your head.

As you’d expect, this is a great chair for the price point. It’s solidly built, it has all the features you could want at this level, and it’s from a known-developer.
There are no real complaints about the chair, and people sing praises about their customer support.
All in all, this chair easily contends with the Furmax gaming chair.
6. AutoFull Gaming Chair
If you’re looking for something really striking, I think this is the chair for you!
The main standout features, as you can probably tell, is the mesh backrest, as opposed to the traditional metal frame + padding.
It might seem weird having a mesh backrest, but it actually makes a lot of sense in term of back support and, more importantly, breathability.
Without the PU leather and padding to absorb heat, you actually get a ton of more cooling than you would normally.
Of course, there are things that you have to trade in, for example, the pronounced fins. You also don’t get a separate pillow for the headrest, since it’s built in.
If you’re the kind of person who needs that adjustability, that might be a problem. You do still get a removable lumbar support pillow though, and a quite generous one.
In terms of adjustability, it’s pretty standard. You have 1D armrests that can be adjusted up and down, and the chair itself can tilt back up to 170 degrees.
That last tidbit is interesting, considering the price, but to be fair, it is a unique design, so I can’t really blame them.

Well, what is there to say that this chair doesn’t just by existing? It’s an incredibly striking, good quality chair, but of course, it does come with an appropriate price tag.
It is a bit pricey, but if you can afford it, you really won’t regret it.
7. Killabee Large Ergonomic Gaming Chair
The first thing you’ll notice about this gaming chair is its striking design. Much like the Autofull, it eschews traditional design to go for something a little sleeker and ‘out there’.
Unfortunately, the only big positive is its design, as otherwise, it’s a pretty standard chair.
Like other chairs, it’s built out of a solid steel frame. The padding is pretty thick all around, rather than just the seat, so you’ll get some pretty good comfort out of it.
It’s also covered in high-quality PU leather, so all in all, the seating experience will be great.
In terms of adjustability, the armrests can go up and down and there is a rocker function. Bizarrely, the chair can only tilt back to 135 degrees, which is really small compared to pretty much every other chair at this price point.
It’s certainly a strange design choice given what they are going for, but I assume that’s just a compromise to get that great look.
Similarly awkward is the fact that it doesn’t come with any pillows, something else which is pretty standard at this price.

Really the main problem here is that all the money you’re paying is going to the design. As such, you miss out on a lot of standard features such as the pillows and the larger recline angles.
Aside from that, this is a great chair and solidly built. There are no complaints when it comes to putting it together and the actual quality of the chair itself.
So hey, if you’re ok with giving up a few features for the cool design, that’s absolutely valid!
8. Morfan Executive Swivel Gaming Chair
An expensive chair from a lesser known manufacturer, this might be a good one to skip.
In terms of gaming chairs, this is as standard as it comes, with one main exception: the lumbar pillow has a massage function.
That’s pretty much it.
Otherwise, it’s pretty standard fare. You have adjustable armrests that go up/down, a rocker function, and the chair reclines all the way back to 180 degree, which is actually pretty good.
You also get yourself the aforementioned lumbar pillow with massager as well as a headrest pillow.
There is actually one other good thing with this chair, which is that it has a lifetime warranty for the frame and a 24-month warranty on the parts.
So at least if it breaks, you know you’re covered!

I’m not sure what to say about this chair. It’s really bog standard and for the price you’re paying, that’s not great.
At the very least, you do get a lot of warranty, plus the lumbar massager, so that’s something.
Honestly, I’d say skip this chair unless you just really like how it looks.
9. Dowinx Ergonomic Gaming Chair
If you’re looking for a chair with some thick padding on the seat, then this is the chair for you!
As you can tell from the picture, the seat is pretty thick, actually 5 inches in total, but that’s not all this chair has.
The frame is built from alloy to give it some extra sturdiness. All that is covered by a high-grade PU leather that they purport to be eco-friendly.
The seat itself is also pretty big, being a bucket seat, so you should feel comfy enough sitting in this chair, even if you’re bigger.
Armrests are adjustable up/down, although it would have been nice if they could be adjusted out/in as well.
The backrest reclines all the way to 180 degree, which is to be expected with a high-quality chair like this. You do also get a rocker function so you can rock your wiles away!
Of course, as you’ve noticed there’s a footrest on the chair and a pretty good one too. In addition to that, you get a headrest pillow and a lumbar support pillow with a massage function.
I’m not sure what it is with gaming chairs that are starting to come with those kinds of pillows, but it’s certainly a nice addition!

If you’re looking for a higher end gaming chair, this is actually a great option. The build is good, it has all the functions you could want at this price point, and it comes with a 1-year warranty.
All in all, this is a great chair to buy!
10. GTRACING Audio Gaming Chair with Bluetooth Speaker
The last gaming chair on this list comes from a well-known manufacturer, and it even has a nice little extra feature: Bluetooth speakers!
If you’ve read some of my other articles, you’ll be familiar with the rocker series of chairs which come with speakers.
Unfortunately, the speakers in this chair don’t have that kind of functionality, but they’re still great. With Bluetooth connectivity, you can connect to your phone or tablet and play your tunes or even watch movies!
For that, you’ll need a comfortable chair, and this one is pretty great. Built out of a strong metal frame, with reasonably good padding and covered in high-quality PU-leather.
Put all that together and you get a sturdy and comfortable seating experience.
The armrests are adjustable up and down, which I’m pretty happy about. The backrest reclines to 170 degrees, which isn’t as much as other chairs, or optimum for napping, but it’s still great.
You also get a rocking function, although you’ll probably be too busy enjoying all the other features.
As always, you do get the backrest and lumbar support pillows. No massage function here though!

Obviously, if you’re looking for a gaming chair with speakers, this is the one to go for. It’s a good build from a known manufacturer, so you won’t have to worry too much about any issues.
Of course, the one downside is that it’s mostly made for tablets and smartphones. That being said, you could always do a workaround if you get a Bluetooth dongle or PCI card for your PC.
If you do, you can connect your PC to the speakers and run anything you want on them, even your games.
Granted, it’s an extra cost, but well worth it if it’s important to you!
Conclusion
And there you have it folks, a list of some great racer gaming chairs for your purchasing pleasure!
As always, I don’t want to color your decisions, but here are some of my quick picks:
Entry Level: The clear choice for this bracket is the Devoko Ergonomic Gaming Chair. It’s price really well, it has some good features, and you’ll get a good bang for your buck.
Of course, if you could save up another $30 -$40, you could go for the Furmax, which is even better bang for your buck.
Mid Level: This one is a bit harder of a choice with so many great options.
I think for most people, the GTRacing Gaming Chair (the one without the speaker) will be the best option. It’s sturdy, it has a ton of features, great padding, good quality leather, good recline, pretty much everything you could need.
On the other hand, the Killabee is great if you want something more striking and cool looking, but I’m not sure if the majority of people would go for that risk.
High Level: For this, I’d probably say the Dowinx is a great choice, especially if you love thick padding. The GTRacer with the speaker is great if you want the speakers, but if that doesn’t factor into your calculations, then the Dowinx is a better choice.
Special Mention: I have to bring up the Autofull Gaming Chair because it’s just so awesome. I’m not sure if most people would go for the risk of a chair like this, but if you can afford it, I would absolutely suggest you get it. Not only is it sleek and cool, but it’s also got a lot of functionality, maybe not as much as other chairs at that price point, but still pretty great.
Well, that’s all! Good luck with your purchasing!
Things to Consider Before Buying a Racer Gaming Chair
The first thing to think about when it comes to racer gaming chairs is the size you’re looking for. Obviously, if you’re larger, you’ll probably want to aim for a bucket seat, and if you’re smaller build, then you’ll want a shorter chair so your feet can reach the ground. This is probably the biggest and most important thing you have to really think about, so do your research!
The second thing that’s very important, is how much adjustability you’re looking for out of your chair. Do you want the armrest to have 1 degree of adjustability? 3? Do you need a recline angle of 180? Do you want a footrest?
All these things will come into play and ultimately affect how much the chair is going to cost. I would suggest seeing what the bare minimums you can survive with, and setting that as your baseline.
It’s important to point out that you’ll want to make sure your chair can actually fit under your desktop or table. Some chairs might not be able to go low enough (Or the armrests are too high), for the chair to go completely under. Make sure you measure the height of your desk and plan accordingly!
This is a slightly more minor one, but you should consider what type of casters you need to get for the type of floor you have. This is especially the case if you have hardwood or any type of flooring that could easily scratch. Also, some casters are made for quieter rolling, if that’s something you’d like to get, just be aware they generally bring the price up.
As usual, make sure you’re buying from a reputable buyer, or failing that, make sure you get a warranty on anything you buy that lasts at least 6-12 months. No point spending a bucketload on a chair just for it to break and you to be out of that money.
