If you have a kid (or one on the way), it’s important to make sure that they stay healthy especially when they spend long hours sitting down to study and game.
You might wonder why you should get chairs made specifically for kids, and why not just use adult chairs?
Well, chairs made for kids generally use non-toxic (or at least, less toxic) materials, they’re also more suited to their actual size, so any ergonomic aspects get scaled down.
So, with that in mind, I’ve collected a list of some great gaming chairs for kids, that could also be used for studying, reading, listening to music, or whatever their little hearts desire.

1. Lukeight Stuffed Animal Storage Bean Bag Chair – The Most Popular Gaming Chair For Kids
The first chair we’re starting off with isn’t even a gaming chair, it’s a bean bag, but with a twist! You see, this bean bag chair comes mostly as just a cover, and you can store stuff in it (stuffed animals mostly) rather than using traditional filling.
So if your kids have tons of stuffed animals and plushies they aren’t using, just chuck them in and you’re done!
You’ll also be happy to know that the bean bag is double stitched, so it can hold up to some abuse, and it comes with a handle underneath, so you can carry it for storage and what not.
Also, the material is cotton canvas, so it should be smooth and comfortable for your children to sit on! Oh, and it also comes in two sizes, depending on how much stuff you want to store and the age of your kid.

So this one is a bit more interesting since it acts as both a chair and storage. It’s also reasonably cheap, so you won’t be breaking the bank.
Of course, you could always choose to go with a more traditional route of filling, such as beans or chopped up foam.
If you do, you can find some great fillings on Amazon, although it will increase the overall price of the chair.
2. OFM Essentials Racing Style Leather Gaming Chair
For slightly older kids and twins, we have this great little chair.
For starters, it has some reasonably good padding, although probably not that great the heavier your child is.
Covering that is some nice PU leather (which they call SoftThread), which should provide a good sitting experience.
The color mix is also pretty interesting and should be attractive to most kids.
The arms are padded, thankfully, and also swing up and out of the way. It would have been nice to see a bit more adjustability, but it is what it is.
Unfortunately, the chair doesn’t have any recline, which is a letdown, although it does have a rocker function.
You’ll also notice that it’s missing the head and lumbar pillows, which is also a shame.

This chair isn’t fancy by any means, but it is on the cheaper end of the scale and is still reasonably good for what you’re spending.
If your kid sits on the desk a lot, then this is actually a pretty good choice for a chair!
3. BirdRock Home 14-Position Memory Foam Floor Chair
Another great gaming chair option for the floor and great for some added back support, this is a great little buy.
As you can tell, the chair’s padding is pretty thick being filled with chopped up memory foam. Covering that is a nice, soft plush fabric that should be comfortable for everybody (although prone to stains, unfortunately).
The chair also has an interior frame which gives you the ability to adjust it into 14 different positions from a 90-degree angle to our flat.
This means that not only can your kid use it to take a nap, it’s also easy for you to lay it down flat for storage!

4. Costzon Kids Sofa
Now, if your kid is super fancy and you want them to sit in style, this is the one to go for.
As you can tell this is as much a sofa as it is anything else. Made out of a wood frame and filled with soft sponge, this chair gives a superior seating experience that is both sturdy and makes for a lightweight chair.
All that is covered with ASTM and CISPA certified PU leather, making sure your kid’s health is safe (It’s also super easy to clean).
You’ll also notice that it comes with an ottoman, which is actually a pretty smart addition that adds tons of value.
This way they can really sit back and game or relax in style. It’s pretty cool honestly!

5. Techni Mobili Kid’s Gaming and Student Racer Chair with Wheels
Coming down from the awesomeness of the previous chair, this is an alternative chair to the Essentials Racing Style Leather Gaming Chair, and somewhat more suited for younger ages.
Unfortunately, it’s really nothing fancy. For example, the armrests aren’t adjustable in any way (they can’t even be flipped out of the way).
You also don’t get a lumbar or headrest pillow which is a bit of a shame.
On top of all that the padding isn’t super great, but it’s reasonable for a kid. Same goes for the PU leather which is of reasonably good quality, but still nothing too special.

Conclusion:
While this chair isn’t fancy (and somewhat pricey) it is a gaming chair made specifically for younger kids, although certainly not anything older than a tween.
You don’t see many chairs like this made for kids, so it’s certainly something you should consider.
And there you have it! A variety of gaming chairs for kids for your choosing!
As always, while I don’t want to color your buying opinions, here are my quick picks:
Entry Level: The one you should go for is the Lukeight Stuffed Animal Storage Bean Bag. It’s cheap and very simple.
Of course, if you’d like to go for something fancier, you could go with the Costzon Kids Sofa, even though it isn’t a traditional gaming chair.
Mid Level: For this bracket, I recommend the Techni Mobili Kid’s Gaming and Student Racer Chair with Wheels.
High Level: There’s really only one competitor in this space and it’s the OFM Essentials Racing Style Leather Gaming Chair. While it’s nothing fancy in terms of features, it is really a decent and proper gaming chair for your kids.
Anyway, that’s all for now! I hope you got some good recommendations out of this list and I hope you all the best in your shopping endeavor!
