If you’ve read some of my other articles, you’ll have noticed that I covered a ton of chairs of different types, from kids gaming chairs to things which you might not even consider gaming chairs.
Well, this time, the article is for you! I’ve collected a range of different gaming chair options for you, kinda like a one-stop shop.
There’s a couple of rockers, racers, bean bags, sofas, and a couple of other things, all to give you some great variety for your gaming chair purchase.
So, without further ‘ado, let’s get to the meat of things!

1. X Rocker Pro Series H3 Black Audio Gaming Chair – The Most Popular Gaming Chair For Adults
Moving away from bean bags, this gaming chair is an absolute beast and features often on my site.
Its most standout feature is the 4.1 surround sound, which is incredibly rare for gaming chairs. On top of that, it has some fancy sound-based rumble tech, called AFM.
You also get a nifty and easy to access side-panel which lets you control volume, base and the amount of rumble, plus has your RCA and headphone connections to hook up to your stuff.
Oh, and it also has a wireless option, which is great.
In terms of a chair, it’s pretty great. It has some really good thick padding, covered in a great quality PU leather.
The armrests are gunstock (and look pretty cool to boot). It can also fold in half for super easy storage when you need some extra space.

Well, there isn’t much to say about this chair that it doesn’t say itself. It’s super sweet, fancy, and an overall awesome seating experience.
The only downside may be that you’ll have to play around with cables and different type of connectors to hook this up to your more modern stuff like your TV or your gaming consoles.
2. OFM Essentials Racing Style Leather Gaming Chair
While its looks won’t necessarily stop any traffic, this is actually a pretty solid chair for your desktop, especially if you don’t want to be paying a ton.
For starters, the padding is reasonably ok, although it certainly could be better (you could always add a pillow if it really bothers you).
On the outside, you’ll find a mix of PU leather and fabric mesh, which should offer a pretty comfortable seating experience.
Add to that the soft fins for some extra support, and you got quite the recipe going.
The armrests are padded, which is a nice little touch, but unfortunately, they aren’t adjustable, except to swivel them out of the way.
Speaking of adjustability, it doesn’t really recline, which is a shame since it’s got so much going for it otherwise.
That being said, it does have a rocker function so at least there’s that!
Price Range: Under $200
Perfect For: Adults

- Chair type: Racer

- Suitable for living room: No
- Cup holder: No

- Weight capacity: 250 lb/113 kg
Conclusion:
Again, this isn’t a fancy chair by any standards, but it’s still a reasonably solid gaming chair. I would definitely tell you to consider it!
3. Openwheeler GEN2 Racing Wheel Stand Cockpit
If you’ve read some of my previous reviews, you’ll have seen this chair come up from time to time, for good reason.
For starters, you have a bunch of surfaces for your gear: Stand for your wheel/yoke, pedal board and a shifter/joystick stand that is adjustable either right or left (for those of you who drive on the wrong side of the road!).
Each one of these has a lot of adjustability from up/down to left/right, so you can get the positioning absolutely perfect to how you like it.
The chair itself is also pretty great, and what you’d expect from a racer style chair. The padding is thin, but firm and the exterior is covered in a great fabric mesh.
Adding to that is the winglets on the side to offer you some added support, and you can even hook it up with some racing-style straps to lock yourself in.
Price Range: Over $200
Perfect For: Adults
Features:
- Chair type: Cockpit
- Reclines: Yes
- Armrest: No
- Footrest: Yes, for the pedal board
- Ergonomic: No
- High back: Yes
- Bluetooth: No
- Speakers: No

- Monitor mount: No
- Keyboard tray: Yes, but for your wheel/yoke
- Suitable for gaming desk: No
- Suitable for racing games: Yes
- Suitable for flight simulator: Yes
- Suitable for eSports: No
- Suitable for living room: Yes
- Cup holder: No
- Massage: No
- Weight capacity: Not specified, but basically unlimited
Conclusion:
While this isn’t the fanciest cockpit/racing wheel setup you can get, it’s a pretty good mid-level one, and probably perfect for the majority of people out there.
Of course, it does cost a pretty penny, so it might not be for everyone after all!
4. Playseat Challenge
If you’re looking for a more low-tech version of a wheel/cockpit setup, this is definitely the one for you.
While it isn’t very special, it does provide the basic functions you need. It has a spot for your wheel, which should work with most brands, and it also has a base for the pedals, which should also fit most brands.
The chair itself a steel frame, wrapped with a suede cover, so while it’s not the most comfortable, it should be good enough for a couple of hours.
Also, given that it is so low tech, it can absolutely fold for easy storage and carrying!
Price Range: Over $200
Perfect For: Adults
Features:
- Chair type: Cockpit
- Reclines: No
- Armrest: No
- Footrest: Yes, for the pedals
- Ergonomic: No
- High back: No

- Weight capacity: 200 lb/90 kg
Conclusion:
While it’s not much to look at (it wouldn’t be out of place in your lawn!), it’s a good option if you need something portable.
Unfortunately, it is very pricey, and if you aren’t looking for portability and storage, I’d go with the Openwheeler.
5. Homall Gaming Recliner Chair Single
Another sofa chair option for your gaming, this is slightly better, and more gamer looking than the FDW recliner chair.
It is similar, in that it has some reasonably good padding, covered by high-quality PU leather. It also has a recline function with the footrest part, so it’s great if you just want to lie back and watch something.
The best of all is that it actually has side pouches for your remotes, controllers, books, and devices!
Price Range: Under $200

- Chair type: Single Couch
- Reclines: Yes
- Armrest: Yes
- Footrest: Yes
- Ergonomic: Yes
- High back: Yes
- Bluetooth: No
- Speakers: No
- Vibration: No

Conclusion:
One of the great things about this chair is the gamery aesthetic it gives off, which you won’t find from most manufacturers.
Speaking of, Homall is a well-known and respected one, so you shouldn’t worry about build quality or anything like that!
And there it is, a nice selection of different type of gaming chairs for your awesome self!
Now, at this point, I usually give quick pics, but the variety of chairs, and how specific they will be to your needs, makes me think it’s better to just end it here so that I don’t bias your opinion and your buying.
So, with that, I’ll leave you to your shopping, and I wish you all the luck!
