We already published the list of best DS games of all time, now it’s time to discover the best DS point and click games of all time.
With amazing titles available, the DS definitely has a great library of point and click games.
So, if you’re a fan of both the DS and point and click games, there’s a chance you’ll like this list.
And some of you may already know some of the games mentioned in this list.
#5. Sherlock Holmes: The Mystery of the Mummy
- Release Data: Mistic Software/Focus Home Interactive, 2009
- Genre: Adventure » Point-and-Click
There is nothing memorable in The Mystery of the Mummy.
A few of the puzzles were fun to solve, but the story was almost non-existent.
A good adventure game not only makes you decipher puzzles, it draws you into the tale and its inhabitants. Unfortunately, this one lacks any real kind of story.
#4. Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders
- Release Data: Dreamcatcher/DreamCatcher Interactive, 2009
- Genre: Adventure » Point-and-Click
Due to the source material, the plot is engaging enough to keep drawing you in just to see if you can crack it.
It’s just a disappointment that so many elements required to make it a truly must-have game are missing, limiting this one to fans of Poirot, Agatha Christie and murder investigation games in general.
#3. Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of Osborne House
- Release Data: Frogwares/Focus Home Interactive, 2011
- Genre: Adventure » Point-and-Click
This title, Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of Osborne House, fails to mimic the extremely popular Professor Layton series.
Overall, whilst moderately engaging for hardcore point and click fans, it does not really live up to expectations or fulfill its potential.
#2. Trace Memory
- Release Data: Cing/Nintendo, 2005
- Genre: Adventure » Point-and-Click
Trace Memory serves up an interesting story with a handful of inspired puzzles that are all too quickly conquered.
Fans of adventure games seeking a quick fix and a new sort of mind-bending puzzle-solving will enjoy this game while it lasts, but making it last is one puzzle that this game doesn’t quite figure out.
#1. Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars – The Director’s Cut
- Release Data: Revolution Software/Ubisoft, 2009
- Genre: Adventure » Point-and-Click
Broken Sword is quintessentially what a point and click puzzle solving adventure should be: a harmony of gameplay, graphics and music which creates a masterpiece for all to enjoy.
Obviously, the game’s slow pace and progression will not appeal to all audiences but give way to its charm and almost anyone will enjoy this treasure.
