We already published the list of best Xbox 360 games of all time, now it’s time to discover the best Xbox 360 vehicle simulator games of all time.
With amazing titles available, the Xbox 360 definitely has a great library of vehicle simulator games.
So, if you’re a fan of both the Xbox 360 and vehicle simulator games, there’s a chance you’ll like this list.
And some of you may already know some of the games mentioned in this list.
#10. Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor
- Release Data: From Software/Capcom, 2012
- Genre: Simulation » Vehicle » Combat
If you already own an Xbox 360 Kinect, you should definitely try out Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor.
While everyone won’t enjoy the game either for its difficulty or its somewhat complex control scheme, you can’t argue there is a sense of satisfaction teaming up to pilot a powerful Vertical Tank and blasting away your enemies to complete missions.
#9. Street Trace: NYC
- Release Data: Gaia Industries, 2007
- Genre: Simulation » Vehicle » Combat
Street Trace: NYC is fast-paced street racing and arena combat set against a grim futuristic corporate-controlled environment.
Overall, there’s a mild amount of fun to be had with Street Trace, specifically in the multiplayer arena.
Just don’t expect it to hold your attention for very long.
#8. Wrecked: Revenge Revisited
- Release Data: Supersonic Software/505 Games, 2012
- Genre: Simulation » Vehicle » Combat
Wrecked: Revenge Revisited is a reminder of just how good hanging out with friends and playing multiplayer in the same room can be.
Gather a few friends on board and this could well be a game you play together for many years to come.
#7. Vigilante 8: Arcade
- Release Data: Isopod Labs/Activision, 2008
- Genre: Simulation » Vehicle » Combat
It’s not a bad game and it’s great as a novel piece of nostalgia, but the gameplay itself doesn’t hold up all that well.
However, if you and your friends have an insatiable urge to blow each other up in glorious vehicular combat, this is certainly a title that could easily fill a few hours.
#6. Armored Core 4
- Release Data: From Software/505 Game Street, 2007
- Genre: Simulation » Vehicle » Combat
Its heavier emphasis on arcade-style mech-on-mech action means that its enhanced fast-paced action will appeal to a more mainstream audience.
And even though it isn’t as complex as it once was, there’s still plenty to obsess over for the hardcore players.
Suffice it to say, this is a very good mech combat game.
#5. Armored Core: For Answer
- Release Data: From Software/Ubisoft, 2008
- Genre: Simulation » Vehicle » Combat
Being a lower profile franchise, Armored Core doesn’t impress in terms of tech or revolutionary game design, but the gameplay is a lot of fun and will be a riot for hardcore mech fans.
If you can overlook the technical problems, For Answer is a solid title.
#4. Armored Core V
- Release Data: From Software/Namco Bandai Games, 2012
- Genre: Simulation » Vehicle » Combat
Defending and controlling territory is fun, and the gameplay comes into its own when you’re playing against other humans instead of an AI-controlled opponent.
You need to be willing to work with the game long enough for that to happen, but Armored Core V isn’t engaging enough for anyone but die-hard fans of giant robot battles.
#3. Full Auto
- Release Data: Pseudo Interactive/Sega, 2006
- Genre: Simulation » Vehicle » Combat
This is definitely the type of game that you’ll want to pick up if you’ve got a couple of friends that are sitting around with you bored looking for something to do.
Also, if you have a passion for vehicle combat and don’t care about sophisticated driving mechanics or track design, Full Auto can be an enjoyable experience.
#2. Chromehounds
- Release Data: From Software/Sega, 2006
- Genre: Simulation » Vehicle » Combat
Players expecting a conventional mech sim may be put off by the simplicity of the combat and probably wish that there were more to the single-player portion of the game.
Nevertheless, Chromehounds is an example of a game that asks you to put in more time and energy than a typical gaming experience, but gives you back more in return.
#1. World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition
- Release Data: Wargaming.net/Microsoft Game Studios, 2014
- Genre: Simulation » Vehicle » Combat
The micro-transaction system and a slight learning curve with some controls isn’t enough to keep this game out of your library.
Even if you don’t go for a garage full of tanks and just buy one or two, or even just play with the provided starter tanks, you will have fun with this one.
