Best Xbox 360 Arcade Games of All Time

We already published the list of best Xbox 360 games of all time, now it’s time to discover the best Xbox 360 arcade games of all time.

With amazing titles available, the Xbox 360 definitely has a great library of arcade games.

So, if you’re a fan of both the Xbox 360 and arcade games, there’s a chance you’ll like this list.

And some of you may already know some of the games mentioned in this list.

#10. Pac-Man

Pac-Man
  • Release Data: Namco Bandai Games, 2006
  • Genre: Action » Arcade

The thing with this game is the control issues get in the way more than they should, so if you aren’t already some kind of crazed Pac-Man enthusiast on the hunt for yet another version of Pac-Man, you should probably take a pass on this one.

#9. Frogger

Frogger
  • Release Data: Digital Eclipse/Konami, 2006
  • Genre: Action » Arcade

Frogger is a classic arcade game, originally released to arcades in 1981.

Now, that arcade classic is available on the Xbox 360.

It’s a mostly faithful emulation of the arcade original with a few interesting updates that should please fans of the series.

#8. Ms. Pac-Man

Ms. Pac-Man
  • Release Data: Namco Bandai Games, 2007
  • Genre: Action » Arcade

Players who haven’t tried Ms. Pac-Man should understand that the biggest difference between Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man is that the original, Pac-Man, only offers one map.

You play the same one over and over again.

Ms. Pac-Man has about 256 maps, 250 of which you’ll never likely to see.

#7. Gauntlet

Gauntlet
  • Release Data: Digital Eclipse/Midway, 2005
  • Genre: Action » Arcade

If you never played Gauntlet back in the day, you’d be hard pressed to appreciate it now, since it’s a simple game that was designed to rob quarters from kids.

For the most part, the Xbox 360 version of Gauntlet is a faithful arcade port.

And the arcade mode features four-player support, but only if you’re playing with some friends locally.

#6. Dig Dug

Dig Dug
  • Release Data: Namco Bandai Games, 2006
  • Genre: Action » Arcade

For a lot of younger gamers it might be too simple of a premise, but if you give the trial version a shot you should find enough challenging gameplay here to warrant a purchase.

It is, after all, an extremely fun and addicting game.

#5. Burnout Crash!

Burnout Crash!
  • Release Data: Criterion Games/Electronic Arts, 2011
  • Genre: Action » Arcade

It doesn’t take long to see everything the game has to offer, and it doesn’t look impressive.

But skillfully laying waste to these intersections is fun, and the competitive features give you a powerful reason to revisit these locations again and again.

#4. Paperboy

Paperboy
  • Release Data: Digital Eclipse/Midway, 2007
  • Genre: Action » Arcade

The premise is simple, the player controls a young boy on a bike who delivers the daily newspaper in one of three neighborhoods.

It’s not a fast-paced breakneck-speed game, so people looking for relaxation should be interested.

If you can overlook average-quality graphics and sound, this title is worth trying out.

#3. Fruit Ninja Kinect

Fruit Ninja Kinect
  • Release Data: Halfbrick Studios/Microsoft Game Studios, 2011
  • Genre: Action » Arcade

There is not a lot of depth to this game by any stretch, but it certainly provides bursts of fun and enjoyment for players, especially when playing with friends.

It is a good, solid title to add to the Kinect’s already extensive library of engaging casual games.

#2. Pac-Man Championship Edition

Pac-Man Championship Edition
  • Release Data: Namco Bandai Games/Microsoft Game Studios, 2007
  • Genre: Action » Arcade

This new take on an old favorite adds new, exciting elements to the formula without getting rid of what made Pac-Man so good in the first place.

And while a few more improvements clearly could have been made, Pac-Man Championship Edition is a surprisingly great addition to Xbox Live Arcade that even people who disliked the original Pac-Man might enjoy.

#1. Pac-Man Championship Edition DX

Pac-Man Championship Edition DX
  • Release Data: Namco Bandai Games, 2010
  • Genre: Action » Arcade

Pac-Man Championship Edition DX boasts simple, addictive gameplay that will have you competing for high scores on the score boards for months.

This is a master class in game design: you will understand it instantly, enjoy it instantly, and want to play again and again.

About

Hi, I'm R, and I've been playing video games since I was a kid. My first console was the original PlayStation (the gray one) and I spent countless hours playing Crash Bandicoot series and Spyro series. My second console was the PS2 Fat, and I completed all of the GTA series 100%.
