We already published the list of best PS2 games of all time, now it’s time to discover the best PS2 party/minigame games of all time.
With amazing titles available, the PS2 definitely has a great library of party/minigame games.
So, if you’re a fan of both the PS2 and party/minigame games, there’s a chance you’ll like this list.
And some of you may already know some of the games mentioned in this list.
#10. My Street
- Release Data: Idol Minds/SCEE, 2003
- Genre: Casual » Party / Minigame
Younger kids might like its cute visuals but will be turned off by the confusing game mechanics.
Older players may like some of the games that are reminiscent of old-school classics, but the use of mismatched slang will turn them away.
Still, the game is fun in short sessions with some friends in the standard multiplayer mode—just don’t expect a lot.
#9. Monopoly Party!
- Release Data: Runecraft/Infogrames, 2002
- Genre: Casual » Party / Minigame
Based on the hugely successful Monopoly board games, you have the opportunity to become a millionaire and bankrupt your friends.
Like the original, you must buy property, move around the board, make money and ruin your enemy to survive.
But unlike the original, your board can be made to be a sci-fi, fantasy, prehistoric or the original board.
#8. Pac-Man Fever
- Release Data: Mass Media/SCEE, 2002
- Genre: Casual » Party / Minigame
Overall, Pac-Man Fever is basically good enough compared with other party games.
So, if you’re looking for another party game to keep you busy, Pac-Man Fever may meet your needs—but if you’re looking for an actual party, there are better games out there.
#7. SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, Pants!
- Release Data: THQ Studio Australia/THQ, 2005
- Genre: Casual » Party / Minigame
SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, Pants! is a surprisingly well-made party game that successfully captures the style and humor of the popular Nickelodeon franchise.
Diehard SpongeBob fans and younger gamers will definitely get a kick out of what’s offered in this game.
#6. Rayman Raving Rabbids
- Release Data: Ubisoft Montpellier/Ubisoft, 2006
- Genre: Casual » Party / Minigame
All told, Rayman Raving Rabbids on the PS2 makes for a good collection of minigames.
The PS2 control scheme definitely feels weird sometimes, but it’s mostly fine, and the game’s sense of humor goes a long way toward making those control issues forgivable.
The Wii version is the ideal version, but the PS2 version will do you just fine.
#5. Ape Escape: Pumped & Primed
- Release Data: SCEI, 2004
- Genre: Casual » Party / Minigame
As a party game, Pumped & Primed is accessible enough that it should be easy for even your non-gamer friends to pick up, but its appeal is limited, and it’s not a game that would justify the purchase of a multitap if you don’t already own one.
#4. Muppets Party Cruise
- Release Data: Mass Media/TDK Mediactive, 2003
- Genre: Casual » Party / Minigame
Muppets Party Cruise is a decent party game which has used the Muppet license quite well.
If you’re looking for a party game to play with friends then Muppet Party Cruise is a good choice, just don’t expect the quality of a Mario Party game.
#3. Buzz! Junior: Monster Rumble
- Release Data: Cohort Studios/SCEE, 2007
- Genre: Casual » Party / Minigame
The format of Monster Rumble is essentially the same as the other Buzz! Junior games: up to four players take each other on by playing mini-games using controllers that have colored buttons and a red buzzer on the top.
And thanks to its appealing characters, inoffensive nature and fun gameplay, children will love it.
#2. Sega SuperStars
- Release Data: Sonic Team/Sega, 2004
- Genre: Casual » Party / Minigame
Sega SuperStars doesn’t reinvent the EyeToy genre, but the healthy number of minigames included in the package makes it one of best values out there for EyeToy owners.
Whether Sega fans will approve will depend on many things, but Sega SuperStars should be a fine purchase for EyeToy owners looking for some new fun.
#1. Super Monkey Ball Deluxe
- Release Data: Sega, 2005
- Genre: Casual » Party / Minigame
All 12 multiplayer minigames that have appeared in previous Monkey Balls are included in Deluxe, and unlike in past Monkey Balls, they’re all immediately playable out of the box.
The variety of the action matches the sheer quantity of minigames, and though some certainly have more lasting appeal than others, you’re bound to find something that appeals to you here.
